A Carteret County man is accused in a long distance armed robbery with a stolen car, that was found three states away.
Deputies say Tyler Ussery is accused of breaking into a auto dealership in Newport on Saturday where a Toyota Camry was stolen.
The vehicle was then used during an armed robbery of a Trade-Wilco convenience store in Asheville the next day.
Deputies say it's believed Ussery and his younger brother then left the state and traveled on I-40 through Tennessee into Arkansas. They were captured in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on Tuesday.
Carteret County lawmen have alerted other police agencies along their route that the 19-year-old Ussery could be a suspect in any armed robberies that occurred during that time frame.
So far, Ussery is charged with armed robbery in Asheville and breaking & entering, larceny of a motor vehicle in Carteret County.
