Controlled Burn Creates Smoky Conditions In Carteret County

If you're in Carteret County and are seeing smoke and ash, officials say don't worry. The smoke is from a control burn in the area.

Officials say two thousand acres are being burned in the Croatan National Forest near 9 Mile Rd. and Millis Rd.

They say the Forest Service does a control burn like this in the area every year to burn underbrush.
