The Coast Guard said they rescued a woman on a 70-foot fishing boat Tuesday morning.
The call came in around 9:30 Tuesday morning from the Capt. Stacy IV as the boat was 17 miles southeast of Fort Macon.
Crews said the captain contacted watchstanders to say a 63-year-old woman aboard the fishing boat was having trouble breathing and needed help.
Within a half-hour, the Coast Guard picked up the woman, along with six family members, and got them to Station Fort Macon where emergency medical workers were waiting on the group.
No word yet on the woman's condition after the rescue effort.
