Two men were rescued Monday afternoon when their boat capsized near the mouth of the Beaufort Inlet.
The Coast Guard says a good Samaritan contacted them around 12:15 p.m. reporting that two people were in the water next to their 17-foot boat.
"When we arrived on scene, the people were clinging onto the stern of their boat and wearing life jackets," said Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Luke Housand. "My crew pulled the two men aboard our boat, and we treated them for hypothermia while en route to the station."
The two men declined medical treatment and their boat was towed to Radio Island by Sea Tow.
