Deputies say a cleaning woman was taking out more than just the trash--they say she was stealing prescription meds from her clients.
Becky Jo Whitley of Beaufort is charged with larceny of prescription medications, possession of schedule II narcotics, two counts of trafficking opium and possession of stolen property.
Carteret County deputies arrested the 49-year-old woman Thursday. They say she is a self-employed cleaning woman and is accused of taking the meds from a client.
The woman has prior convictions of stealing from other clients that dates back to 2003, according to deputies.
She was jailed on a $7,500 bond.
