Carteret County Man Charged With Having Child Porn

A Newport, Carteret County man is behind bars on child porn charges.

Carteret County deputies arrested 44-year-old Michael Heintz of 193 White Oak Drive t for possession of child pornography.

Deputies served a search warrant at his home after receiving information that Heintz was in possession of child pornography images.

Heintz is charged with third degree exploitation of a minor and was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $25,000.00 bond.

No further information is being released as the case is still under investigation.
