The town of Beaufort has a new town hall in a piece of their town's history.
Community and state leaders cut the ribbon at the new Beaufort town hall. It's in the town's old post office.
The post office was built in 1937 and because the town needed more space, they saw this as a perfect opportunity to restore a historic building.
The town purchased the building for 1.3-million dollars and put $400,000 worth of renovations into the building.
In 2014 the National Park Service ferry service will be moving into the building.
