Going to the beach will cost you depending on where and when you go. Paid parking began this past weekend at some area beaches.
The town of Pine Knoll Shores put in paid parking this past weekend. So did Atlantic Beach. Pine Knoll Shores has 11 public accesses and are charging a $10 fee per car at 2 accesses: Memorial Park and Iron Steamer. Beach goers will only have to pay the fee on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Emerald Isle began charging for parking April 16th at its 2 regional beach accesses
