Atlantic Beach is kicking off its 75th anniversary Tuesday.
Atlantic Beach is the oldest town on the Bogue Banks, and it will start its summer-long celebration of its 75th Anniversary with a commemorative ceremony on the boardwalk at 11:00 am.
The meeting will open with a performance and presentation of the Colors from The Atlantic Beach Pipe's & Drum Band before welcoming remarks from Mayor Trace Cooper.
There will be other events throughout the summer.
