There's been a swimming advisory posted for one beach in Eastern Carolina.
State health officials have posted signs at a beach access approximately two miles north of Cape Point, that's on the Cape Lookout National Seashore in Carteret County.
Test found bacteria levels in the water exceeding state and federal recreational water quality levels.
While the beach is not closed, the state says people swimming or playing in waters with high bacteria have an increased risk of gastrointestinal illness or skin infections.
