Poster Unveiling For NC Seafood Festival

The 2010 Poster that will be used in promotions, advertisements and brochures for the North Carolina Seafood Festival was unveiled during a special ceremony Thursday night at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.

Concord artist Sharon Kearns, who spent summers on the Crystal Coast since she was a child, painted the poster. Her inspiration for "Today's Catch" came from family trips to local fish markets to buy the evening's feast.

Kearns painting shows a worker in a seafood market with fresh local seafood.

The NCSF, which WITN is a proud sponsor, will take place October 1-3 along the Morehead City waterfront.

Nice picture. Your family would have had even more fun if you had caught your dinner! Congrats from a local.
