Golfin’ Dolphin Hosts Mini Golf Tournament to Benefit Habitat Homes

CAPE CARTERET, NC: The Golfin’ Dolphin in Cape Carteret will host the first annual Miniature Golf Tournament, “Sink One to Build One,” to benefit Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, May 22, 2010 starting at 9am. The event will raise funds to help eliminate poverty housing along the Crystal Coast.

Chick-fil-A of Morehead City is a Gold level sponsor, and event organizers are seeking additional sponsors for recognition at each hole on the mini golf course. Businesses interested in sponsorships or those wishing to form a team to play in the tournament should contact Frank at Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity 252-223-2111. Participation will be limited to the first 36 teams, and awards will be given to different age groups. Sponsorships are still available and early signups will insure name recognition at the event and in future media.

Crystal Coast Habitat has built more than 75 homes in Havelock, Carteret and Onslow Counties. There will be a home dedicated to a Habitat family in Jacksonville on Friday, March 26th at noon. For more information about the Habitat home building partnership program or on how to donate or volunteer, please call the corporate offices at 252-223-2111 or visit their website at www.crystalcoasthabitat.org. Pamphlets are available at the Habitat ReStores in Newport at 5898 Hwy 70W or Jacksonville at 1205 Hargett St in the New River Shopping Center. Donations and purchases at the ReStores help to eliminate excess waste in our landfills and provide funding for Habitat home builds.
