The new town hall in Emerald Isle is officially open for business.
From painting to landscaping, and delivering furniture -- workers were putting the finishing touches on the 4,200 square foot building on Highway 58 Monday.
A cramped police station led to the town to make the decision to build a new facility --as the police will now occupy the old town hall.
The new building will house six full time employees and cost around $750,000 to build.
