Homeowners Along The Coast Prepared For Beach Erosion

While current models have hurricane bill missing the East coast, a near miss can have both positive and negative lasting effects on our shoreline.

Past beach erosion has prompted homeowners to buy sandbags used to protect the shoreline.

Town officials say they expect high water this weekend which could actually be a positive effect from hurricane Bill.

Town officials hope this storm will do more good for the shore than it will any harm.

Sandbags can cost homeowners in the neighborhood of 300 dollars a bag.

I will assume the general assembly will not expect the in-landers to help pay the cost of the sand bags, or will this come later as a surprise.
