Hoping Bill Stays Out To Sea

With the tropics brewing, many along our coast are beginning to at least mentally prepare for tropical weather.

Hurricane Bill has many paying a little more attention to the tropics. But for residents, preparation is a yearly ritual.

Emergency management officials don't expect any immediate threats, but say they are monitoring the tropics more closely with the recent activity.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say there is a 70 percent chance of seven to eleven named storms, of which three to six could become hurricanes.
