POLICE: Traffic Stop Solves Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins

Newport police say a speeding stop Sunday helped them solve a rash of vehicle break-ins dating back to February.

Nicholas Brotzman and Donovan Ellzy, both of Newport are charged to with 13 counts of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, 12 counts of misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Police say during the traffic stop officers recovered numerous items stolen from vehicles in the Newport area.

Both men are in jail on $25,000 bonds.

    Like breaking into cars, eh? The punishment for that should be officers going hog-wild on these punks with truncheons and heavy boots.
