Some Ferry Runs Suspended

People who take ferries for business or pleasure should check the schedule before heading to the docks.

Officials say the runs will be out of service until at least Monday.

The following runs will continue as scheduled:
- 7:30 a.m. runs from both Ocracoke and Cedar Island
- 10:30 a.m. runs from both Ocracoke and Cedar Island
- 1 p.m. run from Ocracoke to Swan Quarter
- 2 p.m. run from Cedar Island to Ocracoke;

    I can only imagine the number of angry people that do not want to hae to drive, especially if it means having to go back all the way from Cedar Island and then going around their elbow to end all the way up around Martin County and the Outer Banks. That turns it from about 2 and a half hours to about 6 hours I would say. That would get to me right there if I had to go around.
