More than 50 exhibitors are expected to participate in the Crystal Coast Business Expo from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.
Presented by the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce, the Business Expo is trade show that is open to the public, said Chamber President Mike Wagoner.
Participating businesses and organizations will be distributing complimentary tickets to key clients and prospective customers. The general admission fee for the Business Expo is $2 per person. Pre-school age children are free, and all children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult; no exceptions.
“We have a wide variety of exhibitors who truly are offering something for everyone,” Wagoner said. “The assortment of products and services represented is going to be very impressive.”

“Some of the merchants will have products and services available for purchase, while others will be demonstrating their products and providing literature,” Wagoner added.
Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day by exhibitors.
Concessions will be open during the show hours, operated by Woodmen of the World Lodge 188. Enjoy the “value menu” with no single item priced over $4. The selection includes homemade sausage and biscuits, hot dogs, home-cooked barbeque sandwiches, assorted salads, nachos and cheese, fresh mixed fruit cups, peanuts and snacks, bananas, apples, assorted desserts, bottled water, sweet and unsweet tea and soft drinks.
As a special feature of the Expo, judges will be selecting Best of Show Booth Awards to recognize those exhibitors who show creativity and originality with their product displays.
Additionally, a “Culinary Challenge” will be open to restaurants and caterers who exhibit at the Business Expo. Food samples must be provided during the hours of 11 a.m.-1 p.m. as a minimum. There are four food categories: Appetizers, Desserts, Entrées and Soups.
Competition winners receive discounts on their 2010 Business Expo booth fees…and will be recognized in the June issue of the Chamber’s newsletter.
