A disabled man and his mother are behind bars after deputies say they were trafficking in Opium.
Robert Chunn, who deputies say is permanently disabled, is accused of selling his prescription medicine to undercover officers in Carteret County. He's charged with 8 counts of trafficking opium, 2 counts of conspiracy and possession with intent to sell/distribute narcotics.
Chunn's mother, Rita, is accused of conspiracy to traffic in opium for her part in her son's drug sales.
Both mother and son are due in court Tuesday morning.
