EMT-Firefighter Charged With Taking $18,000 In Cash And Goods

A Carteret County EMT-firefighter is facing charges.

Detectives arrested 41-year-old Angela Morado of Cape Carteret and charged her with three felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Morado is accused of obtaining more than $18,000 in money and goods from the Wildwood Fire and Rescue squad. Officials say she was employed in the department as the administrative supervisor and an EMT-Firefighter and has been terminated.

Officials say the incidents happened from October 2006 through December 2008. Morado's bond was set at $1,000.
