For many college students, spring break is about basking in the sun, going for a dip, and of course doing a little partying.
But that's not the case for about 2 dozen college students from our state and Virginia.
The 31 students from High Point University and William and Mary, are in Newport for the week, helping to construct a Habitat for Humanity home.
When they arrived, the home was merely a concrete foundation.
Now its taking shape, thanks to their hard work and efforts.
Many of the college students say giving back and helping the community means more than taking a relaxing vacation.
This is the 13th year, the Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity, has had area colleges students down to help build habitat homes
