UPDATE: Two Teens Killed In Wreck

Eight people were involved in Saturday's fatal crash on Saturday, including a prinicipal from eastern Carolina.

Carteret County Officials say of, 18-Year-Old Miles Moorman and passenger 18-Year-Old Brantley Pierce of Durham, were killed when the vehicle collided with a chevy SUV towing a boat at the intersection of Harker's Island Road and Straits Road.

The driver of the SUV, 45-year-old Christopher Yeomans of Beaufort is the prinicipal of Smyrna Elementary school. His wife has two broken legs, and two 14 year olds in the SUV were treated and released.

17 year old's Kristen Terry And Kimberly Frey were severely injured Hospital officials say they're in good condition at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Carteret County Officials say two teens were killed in a two-vehicle wreck Saturday night involving eight people.

Officials say it happened around 8pm at the intersection of Harker's Island Road and Straits Road.

They say the driver, 18-year-old Miles Moorman and passenger 18-year-old Brantley Pierce were killed when the vehicle collided with a family of four in Chevy SUV towing a boat.

Also severely injured in the Honda were Kristen Terry and Kimberly Frey, both 17-years-old. Both were transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

All four teens are from the Durham area.

The driver of the Chevy, 45-year-old Christopher Yeomans of Beaufort was treated and released. His wife, 49-year-old Kath Yeomans, was taken to Carteret General Hospital with two broken legs. Carolina Yeoman and Jaden Fulcher, both 14-years-old, were treated and released.

Christopher Yeomans is the principal of Smyrna Elementary School.

Neither speed nor alcohol were a factor in the accident. No charges have been filed.

    What a shame! I lost my cousin 2 Sundays ago in a crash.. too young to die. My prayers to the families of both these boys.

    Brantley and Miles were both very wonderful people..just the best. Maybe God sent us two angels 18 years ago to help out down here and now they are helping from heaven. Thoughts and prayers to the many loved ones involved.

    miles man buddy you will be missed seems like i just saw you yesterday and now your gone your nor brantley will ever be forgotten no what what mood you were in miles could put a smile on your face along with brantley ganna miss you buddy

    This is so sad- They had no idea coming down from Durham, looking forward to a weekend at the beach, that they would end up losing their lives in such a way. It is so easy for us all to take life for granted and this accident goes to show how quickly it can be taken away. My sincerest thoughts & prayers are with the families, friends and responders of this accident.
