The family who owns a waterfront home in Atlantic Beach wasn't home when a two-alarm fire started Monday night, seriously damaging the top floor.
Atlantic Beach Fire Chief Adam Snyder says the fire at 106 Glenn St. started around 8:30 p.m. Monday. Chief Snyder says there was a big response of fire fighters, and no one was injured.
Snyder says there was also some damage to the property next door because of all the heat. The cause is still under investigation.
The blaze was reported at 106 Glenn Street in Atlantic Beach, just a stone's throw from Money Island Drive and the ocean.
Officials said the flames was reported around 9:45 p.m. Monday.
So far, officials have been unable to tell WITN much of what happened Monday night, but we will keep working on getting further information.
