Emergency crews had to clean up a small gas leak overnight after a tanker wrecked on I-40 in Duplin County.
It happened Sunday just after midnight near mile marker 382 in Rose Hill.
Troopers say it all began after two vehicles wrecked on the interstate. The two vehicles pulled off to the side, but debris from that wreck remained on the road.
A tanker hauling gasoline then hit the debris and blew his right steering tire. That caused him to run off the road. The back right of his trailer side-swiped one vehicle and that opened up a capped hose and gasoline in the hose leaked out.
Fire officials and emergency crews were called out to clean up the leak.
Troopers say there were no injuries.
