A store clerk is accused of pocketing $12,000 over the past several months from her employer.
Williamston police have charged Linda Mitchell with four counts of embezzlement on Monday.
Court documents say Mitchell was charged with stealing $3,000 on at least four different occasions since August from Roses Department Store.
Mitchell was released after posting a $5,000 bond and went before a judge this morning. Her next court date is April 4th.
