The triple murders at the Hustle Mart in Farmville brings back disturbing memories for another Eastern Carolina town where multiple store employees were also gunned down.
Nearly 19 years ago, a man used grey duct tape to bind six victims at the Be-Lo Grocery Store in Windsor. The SBI says he stacked the victims into three piles and then began shooting. Three of the victims were killed, a fourth was wounded and a fifth was stabbed. A sixth victim was not hurt. The gunman has never been found.
The killer is described as a black man, medium complexion, 30 to 35 years old, slender solid build, and a military-style haircut. He has light brown slanted eyes and a narrow nose bridge, possibly due to a sports injury.
There is a $30,000 reward for information in the Be-Lo murders. You can contact the SBI at 800-334-3000 if you have information on the case.
