A Martin County man is facing child pornography charges.
Meredith Cliff Cook Jr. is charged with manufacturing child pornography, receiving and distributing child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The criminal complaint shows that Cook was investigated by the FBI's Cyber Crime Task Force. The complaint shows Cook had more than 1.4 million still image files and more than 1,000 videos.
The complaint states agents tracked Cook's activities online, and that Cook shared thousands of files. Agents reported many of the images showed naked infants and toddlers, child pornography and sexual abuse.
Agents tracked the IP address to Cook, who lives on Grey Farm Road in Jamesville.
Agents reported they first made contact with Cook in November 2011, and that Cook consented to a search of his home and computers. They say Cook admitted to possessing hundreds of images and videos of child pornography.
Agents report they worked through the night following that visit, reviewing Cook's files and that they found many videos were created at Cook's home. The complaint states several of the videos showed Cook's face as he engaged in sexual abuse of a baby.
The details of the complaint are too disturbing to post in their entirety.
Cook was arrested November 9, 2011 on sexual exploitation of a minor. Agents say when they went to arrest him, Cook was loading his truck with food, clothing and $24,000 in cash.
The criminal complaint on the child pornography charges was filed last week. Cook remains in custody.
