A bicyclist was taken by East Care to Vidant in Greenville Monday after being hit by a vehicle.
It happened in Bertie County just outside of the Windsor city limits on U.S. 13 North.
Highway Patrol says the bicyclist was in the highway when he switched lanes in front of the vehicle and was hit. The driver tried to avoid the collision but was unable to.
The name of the bicyclist hasn't been released. Troopers say he was in stable condition when he was taken to the hospital.
