This is wonderful that the people of Bertie County are being helped. The question I have is why did it take so long. These people have been doing without since the storm in April. That is just about 6 months waiting for some kind of relief. If a center was set up, it should have been advertised that these people were in need of supplies and I am sure that many people would have gladly dropped off donations, I know I would have taken articals and clothing there.
