Man Accused Of Setting Four Homes On Fire Arrested

A suspect wanted on charges of setting four fires is under arrest Friday.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office say it arrested Marcus Johnson late Friday.

He faces charges of second degree arson, and three counts of felony burning an uninhabited house.

A suspect is wanted for four arson fires that happened in Martin County, all within a mile of each other.

Marcus Johnson is wanted on one count of felony second degree arson and three counts of felony burning an uninhabited house.

Deputies say recent evidence has led to Johnson as a suspect in the four fires. He has yet to be arrested.

The four fires happened between June 29th, 2008 and September 7th, 2008 in the area of Felton Rogers Mobile Home Park, which is where Johnson lived. Three mobile homes and a modular home were destroyed. Authorities estimate the loss at approximately $200,000.
