Drowning Cause Of Death For Christopher Jones

The medical examiners office has released the cause of death for a man found in icy waters on Friday.

Officials say Christopher Jones of Martin County died of asphyxiation by drowning.

The medical examiners office says they still don't know how long Jones had been dead before he was found.

The vehicle Jones was driving was found January first, however his body wasn't found until this past Friday by his brothers.

I posted this link on my facebook to let everyone knows that there's still a reward for information. Please contact the sheriffs office with any information. Or email me.

The Martin county sheriffs office told me that they are no longer helping because the life he lead put him in that swamp. There's still a $5,000.00 reward for the person that can tell us what happened to Chris. The family is forced again to do the sheriffs job for him. They still want give the truck back, but have done nothing with it. They did nothing but try and make up for not doing their job in the beginning. They told me, in my final plea for information, that they were not doing anything else because he put his self out there. So for you locals who count on these people, if you do not live your life the way they think you should, you will not get the same amount of services that someone they feel is "just" would get. Remember this, you vote these people into their positions. Make the right choice for your town. Mean while, I can only tell you to call them with info on this case an there is a reward for anyone that can tell us what happened to Chris. Why was he in that area? please

This is just a thought, and I realize it could be way off base, but maybe he just had to use the bathroom really badly and pulled off for a quick stop in the woods. It's possible that if it was dark, he might have stepped wrong trying to get deep enough into the woods to go without being seen. It's not unheard of - I can't tell you the number of times we've had to pull over for my husband when he couldn't make it home or to wherever we were headed. I didn't know him, but I know his ex-wife, and I hate this for his entire family. I hope the family is able to find peace.

I am not a detective, but this dont make sense. I am sure that anyone who has read this can imagine a man that dont swim did not plunge into water knowing he could not swim. This story does not add up at all.

I Kept my promise "UNTIL DEATH DO US PART" I LOVE YOU CHRIS JONES! I did my best to make your funeral as special as you! I made sure that the people that loved you the most were involved in making decisions even if I disagreed. Because in a time like this, a family should stick together!! Me and Kayla miss you already and tell mama we miss and love her too! ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

I dont't know a thing about this man personally, but I do know from everything I read that he LOVED his family and his kids dearly. No one is perfect-I have a dad who is not perfect, but I wouldn't want anything to happen to him just like his loved ones didn't want anything to happen to theirs. Take comfort in the fact that he loved his family dearly and that is what is important now-remembering his love for you!

So very sorry to the Jones's family. Did not know your father, brother, husband or friend but I will keep all of you in my prayers. This is a sad time for all of you. Please others who leave comments, please be respectful of what you write, for his children read this. Be strong, for God has many plans for all of us.
