Lightning sparked a house fire when thunderstorms rumbled across Eastern Carolina Tuesday.
Dispatchers in Martin County say a house caught fire after a lightning strike in Jamesville. Crews were called to the house on Highway 64 around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Dispatchers say crews cleared the scene by 9 p.m..
There is no word yet on how extensive the damage to the house is. It's also not known if anyone was injured.
