Greenville Firefighters Offer Support To Injured Firefighters Family

Local firefighters are standing by Timothy King's bedside at Pitt Memorial Hospital as he recovers.

King is the volunteer firefighter from Bertie County critically injured in an accident Monday when a Car hit him while he was out getting set to help a motorist.

Greenville Fire and Rescue crews were asked by the chief to be of assistance to King's family while they are in Pitt County.

Greenville Fire/Rescue Battalion Chief Doug Branch says this is a courtesy they do for any member of a firefighters family.

Donations can be made to Timothy King Fund, Trap VFD, 744 Morris Ford Road, Colerain, NC 27924.

I thank you for all that you are doing for the King family.Being part of their family...I know they appreciate it.I wish there were more positive people out there like you guys. I just hope the immediate family doesn't read all the negative comments that are on the other sights. God Bless You ALL.

Thank you all who are helping support the family of this man who volunteers his time to help others. It is a real tragedy for all involved. I do not know any of the people involved, but pray for the recovery of Mr. King and that the family receives all the help they need to move forward. The Pitt County firefighters are showing that it will be possible, with the help of friends, family and strangers, to get along with this new situation.
