Students in one eastern carolina county will get a firsthand glimpse at what it is like to drive while intoxicated.
Bertie County Schools and the county ABC Board are partnering to host a Save A Life Tour Friday.
The alcohol awareness anti-drinking program will be held at an assembly for all high school students.
Students will view videos about accidents involving DUI and distracted drivers at the assembly.
After the assembly, juniors and seniors will get the chance to use drunk-driving simulators.
The event comes just before prom to remind students about safety.
The Save A Life Tour will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Bertie High School in Windsor.
