A softball player from Washington has pitched a no-hitter in the Babe Ruth U16 World Series.
The tournament started Friday and continues through August 14 in Wilson and includes 19 teams from across the country.
Haley Hutchins, who is 15, struck out 15 batters from a New Kent, Virginia team. The Washington All-Stars won 10 to 0.
Washington will play again Saturday. Pool play lasts through Sunday, then bracket play begins Monday.
