An East Carolina native is returning to her hometown as principal of a local high school.
Washington's Misty Walker has been named the new principal of Washington High School. Walker began her career as a teacher at Northside High School and was promoted into administrative roles at three other school systems around the state.
Beaufort County Schools Superintendent Dr. Don Phipps says Walker "brings a great deal of experience in areas that will greatly benefit Washington High School."
