One Eastern Carolina softball team is still battling through the bracket at the Worlds Series Babe Ruth Tournament in Florida, while another is out of the tournament after a tough loss.
The Pitt County 12U All-Stars continue to advance in the bracket. The team beat the Hazlet, New Jersey team 11-1 Tuesday morning. Pitt County was scheduled to face Prairie Village, Kentucky at 11am but a weather delay forced officials to push the game back to a 5pm start time. We will keep you updated on the results.
The Washington 12U All-Star team suffered a tough 5-4 loss Tuesday morning. It was the team's second loss, which knocked them out of the double-elimination tournament.
The Washington team beat teams from Stamford, Connecticut and Egg Harbor, New Jersey as well as others to advance to the Top 6 in the field of 20 teams taking part in the tournament.
