Two people have been charged in a string of bicycle thefts on ECU's campus.
University police say they stopped Thomas Hardy of Greenville and Lori Little of Washington last Thursday and found they had two stolen bikes just taken from the rear of the Brewster Building. The two were also recognized from campus surveillance photos that had been circulated to officers.
The 35-year-old Hardy is charged with five counts of misdemeanor larceny, while the 30-year-old Little faces a felony count of identity theft, five misdemeanor larceny charges, as well as resisting a public officer, failure to appear for obtaining property by false pretenses and failure to appear for driving while license revoked.
Lt. Chris Sutton says additional charges may be coming as they continue to investigate other bike thefts on campus.
