Deputies says a Crime Stoppers tip led them to a man wanted for a crime spree in Beaufort County.
William Selby was arrested this morning by Beaufort County deputies. He was wanted for robbing two businesses at gunpoint, breaking into two schools and a church as well as a business.
Adam Tate and Ethan Sparrow had already been arrested for the crimes.
Selby was jailed on a $500,000 secured bond.
Deputies say three Beaufort County men went on a crime spree in late December and early January, robbing two businesses and breaking into two schools, a church and another business.
Adam Tate, William Selby and Ethan Sparrow have been charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, along with multiple counts of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and safe cracking.
Deputies say the trio robbed the Quarterdeck Marina in Bath back on December 22nd and then Hilda's Country Store on Cherry Run Road on December 27th, both at gunpoint. Then on December 31st, deputies say the men broke into Terra Ceia Christian School, taking cash and gift cards as well as the Pungo Christian Academy where cash, a bank bag and two laptops were stolen.
The Terra Ceia Christian Reformed Church was also the victim of a break-in on January 2nd, but nothing was taken. Eight days later copper wire was stolen from the Southern States in Belhaven.
Tate, 20 of Clark Road in Bath, and Sparrow, 21, of Woodstock Road in Belhaven are both in jail. Deputies say they are still looking Selby who lives on Highway 45 in Belhaven.
