Beaufort County says water pressure has been restored and tests show no coliform bacteria contamination to the water supply in the northwest portion of the county.
Customers in the Washington Township service area had been told to conserve water and boil it for human consumption after an equipment failure on Monday.

All Beaufort County water customers in the Washington Township service area are experiencing low or no water pressure. They are being told to boil all water for one minute that is used for human consumption.
The impact area includes U.S. 264 west of Page Rd. extending to the Pitt County line, customers on Cherry Run Rd., U.S. Highway 17 North, NC Highway 171 North, and Market Street Extension extending to the Martin County Line.
Residents are also being asked to conserve water whenever possible.
