A sock with prescription drugs inside was found during a contraband search of the women's cell area in the Beaufort County
Detention Center, according to the sheriff's office.
That search was conducted Saturday afternoon.
The investigation revealed that the 56 pills were hidden in a body cavity when they were smuggled into the detention center.
Two inmates are charged with having the drugs, 30-year-old Brandy Kinion of Chocowinity, and 35-year-old Terri Swain of Roper.
The two were held on an additional $10,000.00 secured bond.
