It's been just over two months since the discovery of a man shot to death inside his vehicle on a rural road in Beaufort County and a woman who says she was once the girlfriend of the victim is still searching for answers and hoping for an arrest.
Jo Storey says she had an up and down relationship with Bobby Buck-- who was gunned down back in early March--inside of a car on Minor Run Road in the community of Edward. Storey says drugs were a part of their lives, and some even thought they were informants, which she says they weren't.
Storey says since Buck's death -- she's received threats implying she may have been involved. Storey says, "I did not shoot Bobby. I did not have him shot. I loved him very much and I still love him very much."
Major Kenneth Watson with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says that the investigation into the case continues--with the FBI assisting with cell phone records. Watson says, "We do know there are people in the community who have additional information that could help solve this case and we would ask them to come forward."
Watson says that they do have suspects in the case that they continue to investigate.
Storey says that she's put drugs behind her and is trying to get her life back on track.
Buck was due in court on misdemeanor drug charges around the time he was shot and killed.
