Jailers said a Grifton man is spending Independence Day without much freedom in the Pitt County Jail.
24-year-old Quenton Norris was arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, according to jailers.
The Grifton man is facing a handful of charges including first degree robbery, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Norris was given a $856,000 bond after being arrested Wednesday afternoon.
No word yet from Beaufort County deputies on the details of Norris' case.
The accused robbery suspect is due in court for a first appearance on Friday.
