A man told state troopers he led them on a high speed chase back to his home because he didn't want his car towed by authorities. It didn't matter because the Highway Patrol ended up seizing the vehicle under the state's new Run and You're Done law.
Corey Holley of Plymouth was charged with felony flee to elude, driving while license revoked, fictitious tags, careless and reckless driving and speeding 115 in a 55 mile per hour zone.
Sgt. Tim Crumpler says it happened around 9:25 p.m. Saturday night and the chase lasted about 8 miles. Crumpler says a trooper tried to pull over Holley on Mackey's Road in Washington County for speeding and he wouldn't stop. The chase got up to 115 miles per hour.
Holley was released on $8,000 bond and his Nissan 300 ZX was towed.
