Maryland Residents Arrested On Opium Charges Beaufort County

Two people from Maryland have been arrested here in the east and charged with trafficking opium.

Kristan Mache and Jerome Kent of Baltimore were placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center this weekend.They're both charged with two counts of trafficking in opium and obtaining controlled substance by fraud.

Bond was set at 420,000 for each and lawmen say additional charges are possible.
