Deputies say they have made an arrest in a sex offense where the attacker ran from the victim's residence wearing nothing but a t-shirt.
Beaufort County deputies say they were called just after 12:00 a.m. Easter Sunday morning to a home on Gage Lane outside of Washington. They searched the area, but found no one.
Then more than ten hours later they got a call of a suspicious man in the woods on Highway 264 near the Animal Shelter. There they found Marco Mendez-Roblero wearing a t-shirt and a trash bag.
The 20-year-old Greenville man was charged with felony breaking and entering, statutory sex offense against a person who is 13, 14 or 15 years old by a defendant who is more than four, but less than six years older than the victim.
Mendez-Roblero was jailed on a $20,000 secured bond.
