Beaufort County deputies knew just where to find one man accused of breaking into a home and stealing jewelry because he was already in jail.

Jeffery Hunnings was served with a warrant for felony breaking and entering and larceny in Beaufort County at the Pitt County Detention center. Hunnings was already incarcerated there on unrelated charges.

The Beaufort County sheriffs office says Hunnings broke into a residence on Hollis Drive in Blounts Creek June 1st and stole jewelry and a bike which he pawned at a business in Vanceboro. All of the stolen items were recovered.
