Man Sentenced For Standoff With Washington Police

A man involved in a nine-hour standoff with Washington Police a year ago has been sentenced for the crime.

Gary Gautier pleaded guilty to communicating threats and discharging a weapon within city limits, according to the Washington Daily News. He was sentenced to one year probation.

The paper reported during probation, Gautier must stay under continued medical evaluation and not use any controlled substance other than prescription medication. Gautier's guns with stay with his mother until his probation ends.

No one was injured in the nine-hour standoff last June on East 12th Street in Washington.
