A group of people have been waiting in line since 6 p.m. Sunday for some free food.
People started gathering yesterday evening at the new Hardee's opening in Washington. A group of four young men from Greenville were first in line this morning. They said it rained shortly after they arrived Sunday evening, but they continued to wait at the doors under a tent.
The first 95 customers in line at this location will receive a free sausage biscuit and a certificate for one free one third pound thickburger per week for a year. Dozens of people were already in line at 4 a.m..
The new Hardee's is at 2427 West Fifth Street in Washington. The restaurant opens at 6 Monday morning.
