Fire At Beaufort County Car Dealership In June Ruled "Not Suspicious"

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office has released an update into a fire at Coastal Car Connection on West 5th Street in Washington in June.

The Sheriff's Office reports it has been working with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on the case. Lawmen believed the fire could have been suspicious.

The Sheriff's Office reports the forensic fire scene investigation "indicated that an attic electrical fire may have started the fire."

The cause is still undetermined, but authorities say the investigation showed the fire "does not appear suspicious in nature."
